Make an Impact in Your Community

United Way of the Coastal Empire is seeking dedicated volunteers for our Youth Mentoring and After-School Support Program. Volunteers will work one-on-one with students ages 8-16, providing tutoring in reading and math, mentoring and life skills guidance, and after-school enrichment activities. This ongoing program runs every weekday afternoon and is one of our most impactful initiatives for breaking the cycle of poverty through education. Background check required. Training and curriculum materials provided.

Purpose Empowerment Church invites volunteers to join us at Forsyth Park for a powerful day of community service and outreach. Volunteers will help distribute bottled water, assemble and hand out toiletry bags and gift bags to community members, and engage in prayer and encouragement with park visitors. This is an opportunity to serve with compassion, connect with neighbors, and make a visible difference in our city. All are welcome regardless of faith background. Supplies and materials provided.

Join Second Harvest Food Bank for our monthly community food distribution event. Volunteers will help sort, pack, and distribute fresh produce, canned goods, and essential food items to families in need throughout Southeast Georgia. This is a high-energy, team-oriented event where your effort directly impacts hundreds of families in our community. No experience necessary - training provided on site. Please wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing.
